Fawny Holiday Week: Cozy Cats, Lawn Fawn

If you have been Get Cracking on Christmas with me all year, maybe your holiday card stash is already looking merry and bright! 🎄 But if not, no worries! Here’s a little extra inspiration to keep those festive vibes flowing.
I couldn’t resist playing with the adorable new Cozy Cats stamp set, seriously, I’m obsessed! I love it so much that I’ll be launching an online class featuring this set soon, so stay tuned for all the details.
For this card, I created a soft, wintery background using one of my favorite techniques: pigment smooshing with Distress Watercolor Pencils. It’s such a fun and forgiving way to add color and texture! (You can learn more about this technique in my Distress Techniques: Watercolor Pencils online classes.)

Once the background was dry, I trimmed the panel down and layered it onto another piece cut with the new Quilted Diamond Backdrop, I love the subtle texture it adds!
Next, I stamped one of the adorable kitties from Cozy Cats, along with the ball of yarn and a speech bubble, then brought them to life with Copic Markers. I’ve included my color swatches below so you can easily recreate the look, or use them as inspiration for your own favorite coloring medium.
If you’d like to build your confidence with Copics (or any alcohol markers!), be sure to check out my Copic 101 online class. It’s packed with tips and techniques, and even comes with a printed workbook shipped right to your door!

I adhered the images to the card using foam squares for a bit of dimension and stamped the “Merry Christmas” sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black, crisp and classic!
Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a little sparkle. I used a Quickie Glue Pen with Prisma Glitter to highlight the images, then added some Glossy Accents and Chunky Glitter along the ground for that perfect, frosty shimmer.

Don’t forget, my upcoming Cozy Cats class is right around the corner! Keep an eye out for all the details so you can join in the cozy, crafty fun
Don’t miss out! Lawn Fawn has added a special “Retiring Soon” section to their website, and once those goodies are gone, they’re gone for good! As they celebrate their 15th anniversary, they’re making room for all the exciting new releases to come, so be sure to snag your favorites before they disappear!
TIP: you can use the search feature here on my website and type in the name of any Lawn Fawn product, and you will see any inspiration I have shared with that item.
