The Lawn Fawn Design Team, Lawnscaping Team and some peeps from the Lawn Fawn Headquarters are featuring all of Lawn Fawn’s Holiday sets this week. If you need holiday inspiration… this is for you! How awesome is that!?
This year I wanted to give you some inspiration for holiday cards with non-traditional colors. Those who have taken card classes with me know I always end up tossing in a hot pink, lime green and of course teal holiday card- and I wanted to share these ideas with you! If you missed my Joy card yesterday you can see it here
The other night on instagram I shared a sneak peek of this card. I couldn’t get over how beautiful the shimmer was, and I just had to share it with everyone!
This card was seriously SO quick and easy.
I cut a bunch of the snowflakes from the Stitched Snowflake Lawn Cut set out of Distress Watercolor paper. I then spritzed most of them with Picked Raspberry Distress Spray Stain. The larger one I spritzed with Peacock Feathers. Then, before I heat set them I spritzed some Perfect Pearls mist in Pearl Glimmer just like I showed here during STAMPtember.
I then cut the letters S N W from the Finley’s ABC’s Lawn Cuts and another small snowflake from Distress Watercolor paper. I spritzed these just with the Perfect Pearls Mist in Pearl Glimmer. Assembling all the snowflakes and letters on the card. Some I adhered flat with dot adhesive and others I popped up with clear foam tape– YEP CLEAR!
This is great for those skinnier pieces you want to pop up and you don’t want to see white or black foam. Its very sticky and a bit tricky to work with at first, but I LOVE it now that I have gotten the hang of it!
I used the EK Success Powder tool, powdered where I was going to stamp “Let it”. The powder tool makes it so that the powder will only cling where you stamp. I also find using the powder tool helps get a nice smooth even melt from the powder as well. I used Lawn Fawn Smitty ABC’s and Versamark ink to stamp the letters. I used Hero Arts white embossing powder (my fave) to heat emboss “Let it”. I really just LOVE this card. Teal, bright pink and shimmer! You could easily mass produce these if you do it in assembly fashion!
Don’t forget I will be back tomorrow with one more design and check out all the other FABULOUS creations this week on the Lawn Fawn blog– some serious inspiration can be found over there!!
LOVE this!!! The snowflakes look awesome and my wishlist just grew longer with the sprays lol…
I am really enjoying the distress spray stains… (just ordered more oopsies 😉 ) always happy to enable Kristie!
Gorgeous card, Jenn! TFS about Kool Tak–will have to try it!
thank you ann- yes! the Kool Tak is awesome.. its really sticky so can be a bit tricky to use, but perfect when you don’t want people to see you are using dimensional adhesive 😉
Beautiful card, loving
all the glimmer on it!
