Fawny Holiday Week: Snowglobe Gift Tags

Welcome to our special Fawny Holiday Week! This week is all about getting ideas for the upcoming Holidays! Lawn Fawn has fun ideas, giveaways, and videos on their blog this week! There is still plenty of time to create handmade cards for the holidays! There is event time to create some handmade holiday tags too! Fawny Holiday Week: Snowglobe Gift Tags

If you have been Get Cracking on Christmas with me all year– maybe you are all caught up on your holiday cards? Well, now you have time to create some handmade gift tags!

The supplies I used to create these made them quick and easy to put together. I started by stamping out the cute critters from Say What? Holiday Critters, coloring them with Copic markers and die cutting them out. I also added some sparkle with a Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter. I also added little white gel pen dots in their rosy cheeks.

I then proceeded to ink blend some Distress White Heavystock in Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry and Salvaged Patina Distress Ink. When I am ink blending I love to use the Ink Stands to hold my ink pads, and my favorite blender brushes are the Simon Says Stamp ones, organized in the Layer Cake Brush Caddie.

I then die cut some of the elements like the bands on the snow globe, the stitched hillside for part of the scene and some small snowflakes from Lawn Fawn’s Mini Snowflakes out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock. I also cut the base part of the snow globe tag again out of acetate, so I could cut it down and use for the shaker window. Lawn Fawn acetate is great for this, nice and sturdy. It is also heat safe- meaning if I had wanted to stamp/emboss anything on it I could.

I then proceeded to put the shaker tags together. I used Lawn Fawn 1/8″ double sided tape and 3L Scrapbook Adhesives white foam strips to adhere the pieces together. I used a mix of sequins and glitter sparkles for the shaker bits. I love to order fun shaker bits from Lucy’s Cards and I stock up from Simon Says Stamp.

I stamped some sentiments on the back, including the perfect tag fillers. I used Versafine Onyx Black, and Lawn Fawn Bubblegum and Merman ink pads. Lastly, I tied off some gold trimmed ribbon I had in my stash.
