Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you some color comparisons of the NEW Distress color, Lost Shadow. I am showing the colors in both regular Distress and Oxide because the same colors can be very different in the different ink formulas. I also photographed close-ups of other Distress Inks with the new Lost Shadow- colors I thought maybe people would be wondering about.
Before we get into the swatches, have you taken my Distress Ink Technique class yet, or how about my Distress Technique class all about sprays and mediums? These are both fabulous classes but don’t take my word for it – read the reviews from some of the attendees.
I will be announcing details for my next Distress Technique class soon, and it will be all about Distress Watercolor Pencils!
Don’t want to miss any of my shares? You can subscribe to my email newsletter and choose to get an email each time I update my site- subscribe here.
Note: you can see the other comparisons I have shared with the latest Distress colors:
- Speckled Egg
- Crackling Campfire
- Rustic Wilderness
- Kitsch Flamingo
- Salvaged Patina
- Prize Ribbon
- Villainous Potion
- Saltwater Taffy
- Uncharted Mariner
- Lumberjack Plaid
I do my best to keep the colors true and very little to no editing was done to the photos. I hope you find this helpful in deciding if you “need” the new color or not. I guess you can call this a “jennabler” post, as I think you are going to see it fits in really nicely with the other colors we already have.
Each new color that is coming out is being offered as
- Distress Ink
- Distress Ink refill
- Distress Oxide
- Distress Oxide refill
- Distress Spray Stain
- Distress Oxide Spray
- Distress Paint
- Distress Embossing Glaze
- Enamel Pin

I always appreciate these comparisons. Who knew we needed a light gray. I love it. I think it’s also interesting the difference between the Distress Inks and Distress Oxides. (For example – the Lost Shadow vs. Pumice Stone Distress Ink seems to have more contrast than the Oxide to Oxide comparison of these.) Thanks for showing all of these examples.
