New Distress: Salvaged Patina

04/27/2021

Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you some color comparisons of the NEW Distress color, Salvaged Patina. I am showing the colors in both regular Distress and Oxide because the same colors can be very different. I also photographed close-ups of other Distress Inks with the new Salvaged Patina- colors I thought maybe people would be wondering about.

Before we get into the swatches, have you taken my Distress Ink Technique class yet? You can read more details and sign up here! I also am offering Mermazing, Lawn Fawn Cards on May 15th. We are going to have a lot of inky fun in that class as well!

Note: you can see the other comparisons I shared:

  • Speckled Egg
  • Crackling Campfire
  • Rustic Wilderness
  • Kitsch Flamingo

I did my best to keep the colors true and very little to no editing was done to the photos. I hope you find this helpful in deciding if you “need” the new color or not. I guess you can call this a “jennabler” post, as I think you are going to see it fits in really nicely with the other colors we already have.

Each new color that is coming out is being offered as

  • Distress Ink
  • Distress Ink refill
  • Distress Oxide
  • Distress Oxide refill
  • Distress Spray Stain
  • Distress Oxide Spray
  • Distress Paint
  • Distress Embossing Glaze
  • Enamel Pin

Dear Peacock Feathers,
I regret to inform you that I have found a new love, a brighter love, a more perfect love. 💙 Salvaged Patina is the teal I have been wanting all of these years. I hope you will understand. I promise to still utilize you in my creative adventures, as I LOVE ALL of the Distress colors, but Salvaged Patina has stolen my heart.
Thank you for understanding
Lv,
Jenn

p.s. why yes I did have a photoshoot with an ink pad and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Perfect. I love your comparisons. I was thinking the new Salvaged Patina was close to Speckled Egg. Wow, not at all!!

Love the comparisons. It’s also extremely normal to have a photo shoot with your inkpads. I will be doing the same when mine arrive :.)
