Alright, now to the fun card I have to share with you-
Winnie The Pooh, Lawn Fawnatics
I am a HUGE Winnie The Pooh fan and have been since I was a kid. I created another Winnie The Pooh card, Oh Bother, for a past challenge that I wanted to create. new one. I love all the sweet quotes from the books and find them inspiring and comforting.
I started by creating my Winnie The Pooh from the bear in Really High Five. I used a Memento Marker to mark the lines from the image that I wanted to stamp, then I used a pencil to draw in the shirt. I colored the image with Copic markers and then traced the outline of the shirt with a black Micron pen.
I then created the hunny pot from the Milk and Cookies stamp set, drawing in the honey and writing in the letters. I created the Hundred Acre Woods sign from the Berry Special stamp set and also stamped the bee and bee trail from the same set. I used Lawn Fawn Jet Black and Lawn Fawn white cardstock which is Neenah Classic Crest 80 LB Smooth Solar White Paper and colored them in with Copic markers.
I used the above Copic markers to color the images. You will find them linked below in the cardmaking supply list. With the swatches above you can easily substitute for similar colors, or even a different coloring medium. Then using the large mini slimline dies I diecut a piece of Distress White Heavystock. I also used the stitching on that die to add stitching to the woodgrain cardstock I cut for a tree trunk. I used Puffy Cloud Borders to create the shrubs and the top of the tree. I ink blended all of these pieces with Lawn Fawn ink:
- Merman
- Freshly Cut Grass
- Clover
- Walnut
I used Simon Says Stamp blender brushes (that I store in my favorite brush caddy). Whenever I am ink blending I love to use the Ink Stands to hold my ink pads, I also use a small mister bottle filled with Isopropyl Alcohol, to quickly clean my table surface with a Flour Sack Cloth.
I placed the die cut pieces down for placement, to be able to stamp the sentiment. I used Harold’s ABCs and Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp out the Winnie The Pooh quote.
I matted the card on another piece of woodgrain cardstock. I added a touch of sparkle with Prisma Glitter and a Quickie Glue Pen to the balloon and bees wings. I also added some Lawn Fawn Clear Glaze to the heart and honey coming out of the pot.
