Alright, now to the fun card I have to share with you-
Merry Kitties, Lawn Fawnatics
The first thing I thought of when I read “holiday critters” was to dress up my boys and get them ready for a festive occasion! So here we are, Mister Harley, Gus, and Jac are ready for the holidays!
I used the Snowflakes Background Stencils to create the background. This was actually an extra one from the last Create with Us, Joy to All, class with Kelly Marie.
I ink blended with Lobster and Bubble Gum ink, and then with one of the stencils, I spread some Fairy Dust Texture Paste. Doing all of this using the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion. Love that little tool and it saves me SO much time!
Once dry, I trimmed it to be 4″ x 5.25″ and matted it onto some Chili Pepper cardstock.
I then stamped out the kitties from Purrfectly Wicked and colored them to look like my kitties. For the accessories, I used Baaah Humbug and Furry and Bright.
Copic Coloring
I die-cut “MERRY” from Oliver’s ABC’s out of Ballet Slippers cardstock, and ink blended the bottom of the letters with Guava ink, to create an ombre letter.
I cut a piece of vellum to 3″ x 4.25″ and started to create my scene on it. Using adhesive and vellum can be tricky, so I flipped it over, and added Lawn Fawn Glue tube everywhere there was a critter or letter, essentially hiding the adhesive.
I added some finishing touches by using a black glaze pen on Gus and Jac’s nose. Adding some white hairs in Gus’s ear with a white gel pen, and of course, glittering all the things with Prisma glitter.
I love how this card turned out, I always love to feature my kitties on cards I create! I hope it inspires you and you will join us in the challenge! I also hope to “see” you in a class soon!
