I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet and experimenting with different techniques.

Get Cracking: Monochromatic Stenciling
Let’s be honest: We are so close to the holidays now that I wanted a simple card to create and share with you. If you need some last-minute ideas or want to start your stash of cards for next year, this design is perfect! It also doesn’t need a lot of supplies to make it happen!
I started with the Lawn Fawn Poinsettia Background stencils, but you could use any holiday stencils. I used the Make Art Stay-tion to hold my stencils in place, and ink blended with Lawn Fawn Merman ink onto Distress White Heavystock. I used Honey Bee Stamps blender brushes (that I store in my favorite brush caddy). Whenever I am ink blending I love to use the Ink Stands to hold my ink pads, I also use a small mister bottle filled with Isopropyl Alcohol, to quickly clean my table surface with a Flour Sack Cloth. Have you seen my new *exclusive* Flour Sack cloths?! They are wicked fun and available in my online shop!
I blended two of the stencils with a very light hand to get a softer shade of Merman ink. I used a heavier hand for the last stencil to get a darker version. I then die cut the background out of the largest stitched rectangle from the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn.
I ink-blended some pieces of Distress White Heavystock. Three pieces with Merman Lawn Fawn ink of varied tones. And one piece ink blended with Rainforest Lawn Fawn ink. I then die-cut the pieces of the Stitched Poinsettia die set. I then sprayed them with a mixture of water and Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust for a little shimmer.
For the sentiment, I stamped “holly jolly” with Quinn’s ABCs and colored them in an ombre with Copic markers. I then used the grid on the Make Art Stay-tion to space out my letters nice and straight and even, using Best Ever Craft Tape to pick the letters up, and then adhere them to the card. I added some Distress Rock Candy to the Poinsettia’s center and the letters’ bottoms with Distress Collage Medium. I then added a touch of glossy accents to the bottoms of the letters and sprinkled some Chunky Glitter.
