We can do this! We can create holiday cards all year, and be a little bit more prepared for the holiday season!
Ok, enough chatting, let’s get this party started!!
Get Cracking: Alcohol Inked Holidays
I have three cards to share with you this month. Playing with alcohol ink is addicting! Once you are working on one card, you will want to make several!
I started with yupo paper and alcohol inks in the following colors:
I used blending solution and 99% Isopropyl Alcohol with an Alcohol Ink Air Blower. I used Alcohol Ink Gilded Alloy on some of them, and on all 3 I used gold foil, which sticks perfectly to the edges of the ink when you burnish onto it.
For the sentiments, I used Concord & 9th’s Mix & Match Holiday Sentiments. I LOVE that the stamp and die for this are all one piece, so it makes it wicked quick and easy to create a bunch of sentiments at once, perfect for holiday card making!
I gold embossed the sentiments and die cut them out. I also used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Snowflakes, and Mini Snowflakes, cut out of gold metallic cardstock. These are the same snowflakes that I used on the Cheery & Bright rainbow snowflake card that you all loved so much!
I diecut the backgrounds with the largest stitched rectangle in Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Rectangle set and matted them onto gold metallic cardstock.
Lastly, I added some Trinity Stamps Aquamarine Ripple Embellishments for a little added “bling”. When working with bling and sequins, I LOVE the little tidy tray that Trinity Stamps sells, it makes it so easy to keep them tidy and get them back into their container.
Here are the other 2 cards I created, no two alcohol ink backgrounds ever look alike! I love that!

Pretty card. Once again your background blew me away. I really have to do some of this alcohol ink technique.
