Birthday Mandala, Simon Says Stamp

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing with you a couple of fun birthday cards I made with some of the new exclusive products from the Simon Says Stamps And Back Again Release! Birthday Mandala, Simon Says Stamp

I had so much fun creating these TWO birthday cards. Both cards used the new Layering Heart Mandala Stencil set. One thing that is really cool about this stencil set is all the different masks it includes, so you can choose to use only parts of the stencil at a time. I went all in and used the whole stencil for these cards, but it really gives you so many options!

I ink blended the background using Simon Says Stamp blending brushes, and Pawsitively Saturated Inks. Only 3 colors needed to create this beautiful rainbow! I used Bubblegum, Lemonade and Seafoam. When layered the colors fill in the other rainbow colors, and the Pawsitively Saturated SSS inks blend like a dream on Distress White Heavystock!

Whenever I am stenciling, I use the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion. It’s a magnetic board with strong magnets and grid helping to hold layers in place, and straight! I love this tool and it makes me want to use my stencils SO much more!!

For the sentiment, I used the new Birthday Wafer Die, cut the front layer out of Lawn Fawn Metallic Gold cardstock, and the back layer with Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock. For the word “Happy” I cut the letters using Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits and cutting them out of Lawn Fawn Gold Metallic Cardstock.

On the word “Happy” I added some Glossy accents, and Prisma glitter. I also sprinkled on some Simon Says Stamp Smiles Sequins, and matted the card onto some more Gold Metallic cardstock.

For the second card, I did the same thing, only this time on the background after ink blending, I spread some Lawn Fawn Fairy Dust Stencil Paste through the stencil as well. Also on the word “Happy” I only added Glossy Accents, no Prisma Glitter.
