Fawny Holiday Week: Fa La La Mermaids

Welcome to our special Fawny Holiday Week! This week is all about getting ideas for the upcoming Holidays! Lawn Fawn has fun ideas, giveaways, and videos on their blog this week! There is still plenty of time to create handmade cards for the holidays! Fawny Holiday Week: Fa La La Mermaids

Are you surprised that I created another underwater holiday card? Using Mermaid For You as my starting point, I then added in some other ocean sets. Mixing these images with elements from holiday sets creates a Christmas card easily.

The holiday elements came from the following sets: Baa Humbug, Holiday Party Animal, Holiday Helpers, Here We Go-a-Waddling

I ink blended the background with some Merman Lawn Fawn ink, and then stamped some snowflakes and music notes. The scene was all built within the Four Square: Portrait Backdrop. I just trimmed out the center pieces.

For the sentiment, I used just the dies for Winter Big Scripty Words for “fa la la” and cut it out of the Pixie Dust cardstock.

Since there is a lot going on in this little scene I kept my color palette pretty limited: teal, red and gray.

I added a lot of Prisma Glitter with a Quickie Glue pen and of course, along the seafloor, I was generous with a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube and added Chunky Glitter. As a finishing touch, I used a white gel pen and added some details to their cheeks 🙂
