Hi everyone! I am wicked excited to have been asked to design for Honey Bee Stamps! Not only will I be sharing inspiration with Honey Bee Stamps products, I will also be sharing videos and how to’s as well! If you have been following me for awhile you know I have been wanting to share more videos with you, but it has been hard to find time among all the classes I have been offering. When it comes to being creative for me, give me a “project” and I work well with deadlines, so this is perfect!
I have been creating with Honey Bee Stamps for a long time, they have sponsored many of my Creative Journey Art Retreats and I am so thankful for that and I always have fun playing with their products!
In the video (linked below) you will see me create this fun background using Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink, Under the Mistletoe Layering Stencils, Metallic Gold Pigment Ink, and Brilliant White Pigment Ink. I find that to get a good coverage of pigment ink in a detailed stencil like this, using an ink blending tool and blending foam best.
I then stamped the bear image from the Bear Hugs stamp set, colored it with Copic markers, and die-cut it out. I also chose a sentiment, stamped it, and die cut it out. I love that Honey Bee Stamps includes dies for the sentiments. I trimmed the background to be 4″ x 5.25″ and adhered it to a white card base. I then trimmed a strip of red sparkle cardstock and adhered that to the card. I added the bear and sentiment to the card with foam squares.
Then using glossy accents I glittered all the lights and the star with Distress Sparkle/Glitter. Lastly, I added some Gold Glimmer Enamel Stickers.
