Hello! I am sharing with you today a card I created with the Simon Says Stamp’s July Card Kit, You Shine! This kit is overflowing with products! A 6×8 stamp set, an emboss and cut folder, Distress Foundry Wax, Idea-ology window frames, fun patterned papers, and more! There is such a variety of products, this kit is perfect for anyone!

You Shine, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit
I had so much watercoloring the images from the You Shine 6×8 stamp set included in the kit. I embossed the lemons and flowers with Yeti Lawn Fawn pigment ink, and Alabaster White Brutus Monroe White Embossing Powder. I embossed the bees using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink and super fine clear embossing powder. I did this on Distress Watercolor Cardstock.
Note: whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool
I watercolored the images and backgrounds using Distress Ink.

For this card, I did a little bit of ink smooshing with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink and a piece of acetate to create the background. I then die-cut a stitched rectangle. I stamped and embossed the sentiment. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and fine detail clear embossing powder, to have a nice clean black embossed sentiment.
I fussy cut out the lemons and bumble bee and assembled them onto the card with foam squares. I added a few flat iridescent sequins from Trinity Stamps Bubble Blower mix.
I matted the card onto some of the patterned papers included in the kit from Simple Stories Vintage Lemon 6×8 paper.
For this next card, I did a little bit of masking. Everything on this card is one layer except for the bumble bee. I love the pop of pink flowers, and the brown ground really makes the yellow pop!
It was so relaxing, watercoloring these and working on adding dimension and making the lemons look as real as I could. I hope these cards have inspired you AND there are so many other supplies in the kit I have yet to play with- so even MORE cards to come! Get your kit here!
