You ARRRRGH Awesome, Lawn Fawnatics
I had so much fun creating this card! I love the new Stitched Scalloped Frames from Lawn Fawn, and I used the Square ones here. I figure what guy wouldn’t want a pirate card?! Right? So I dug out the Ahoy Matey set, stamped some of the images, and colored them with Copics.
For the background layers, I used the new Stitched Wave Borders, along with Stitched Hillside Borders, and Puffy Cloud Borders. I ink blended some cardstock scraps with various Distress Oxide Colors and then die cut out the different borders.
Stitched Hillside Borders: Vintage Photo Distress Oxide
Stitched Wave Borders: Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide
Puffy Cloud Borders: Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
For the Palm Trees, I used the same process, ink blending first, then die-cutting out the shapes. I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide for the trunks, Ground Espresso Distress Oxide for the coconuts and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide for the palm leaves.
The far back layer is some Shooting Stars Watercolor Wishes Paper. My all-time favorite Patterned Paper!!
Lastly, for the sentiment, I used the powder tool on some Black Licorice cardstock, and white embossed “you arrrrgh awesome” on it.
