Hello everyone! If you are new to my site you may not know, but i am a 110% beach girl, I am secretly a mermaid 😉 OK- just kidding! When my friend Libby mentioned to me that the June My Monthly Hero Kit was chocked full of nautical goodness and asked if I would want to create some inspiration, I, of course, said: “heck yes!” BUT what she didn’t tell me was that the kit was specifically made for ME!!!! I mean… so much ocean love, a sentiment that says “#aquaholic” and sandy beachy embossing powder- ohmygosh!!! I was in heaven creating with this kit.

Ok, now onto some inspiration!
Life is better with sandy feet
I watercolored my own background using Distress Inks. Then using some of the stamps from the kit stamp set I created my own little beach scene. I love the layered clouds and the sandy footprints the best. I added a little bit of prisma glitter here and there for some sparkle.
Enjoy the beach life
For this card I used the Beach Frame Fancy Die, and cut it out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Using Distress Inks I added color to the beachy scene.
Then I masked an oval opening on the card front, and ink blended some Distress Inks for a background. I stamped the sentiment “enjoy the beach life” from the kit stamp set. The frame is popped up off the card with 3M foam tape. Lastly, I added a little prisma glitter here and there for some sparkle.
I shore do miss you
I started this card by ink blending with Distress Oxide inks (Mermaid Lagoon, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves). In my head, I was just trying to create an ocean scene with the sun setting, not meaning for it to be a rainbow, it just worked out that way, and I really like the results!
I stamped the lighthouse, the piling, and the seagull from the Seas the Day Seagulls stamp set. I colored them in with Copic Markers, and die cut them. (when putting the card together I realized the lighthouse would look better on this card, with very little white border, so I ended up fussy cutting it out) I also stamped a few of the clouds in Blue Print Sketch Distress Oxide Ink and fussy cut them out.
I stamped some of the waves in Blue Print Distress Oxide directly on the background, and with an x-acto, I cut a sliver above one of the waves. This was so I could tuck in the piling. Lastly, you guessed it I added some prisma glitter for some sparkle. I figure the ocean has a beautiful sparkle in the setting sun.
Feelin’ Nauti?
First of all, can we just talk about how fun this sentiment is!?! LOVE IT!
For this card, I white embossed the Abstract Wave Bold Prints stamp, and then watercolored over it with Distress Inks (Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers). I tore two strips off the top to look like waves. 
I stamped a hermit crab and the sunglasses from the Beach Messages stamp set and colored them with Copic markers. I added a few details to the hermit crab with a jelly roll white gel pen. I used a powder tool on some black cardstock and stamped out the “feelin’ nauti” sentiment with versamark ink. I then embossed it with white powder. Once the card was all assembled I added some glossy accents to the sunglasses for some shiny dimension.

When I showed Chris this card he asked me if I made the sentiment myself, and I was like “no it was part of a new stamp set coming out, isn’t it perfect!?” and he was like ” yea, wow! that’s awesome!”
For this card, I used the new Wave & Sea Confetti Die. I cut it out of a dark teal cardstock and layered it over a light teal cardstock. I stamped the sun and sentiment from the Beach Messages stamp set. I watercolored the sun and waves with Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Peacock Feathers). I added a little bit of sparkle with prisma glitter.

I really love the fun and color in these cards. I can tell you were really enjoying yourself and we are enjoying the results. I think my favorite of these is the frame die card since you took something intricate and still found a fantastic way to color it showing off all the details.
