Seasons of Sentiments, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Hello! I am sharing with you today some cards I created with the Simon Says Stamp’s February Card Kit, Season of Sentiments! This kit is overflowing with products! Seasons of Sentiments, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

For this card, I started with the beautiful large flower image from the 6×8 Orchid Rose Bouquet stamp set.

I admittedly know very little about flowers. About what each kind looks like, or what color they “should be” – but you know what? That’s ok! Because when you are creating a card, you can use any colors you would like, and design the card however you would like.

I wanted to have bold red blossoms on this card, which is rare for me, to use this much red, but I really love how it turned out. I filmed myself coloring with Copic markers, sped it up, and shared it on Instagram, nothing fancy, but you might enjoy watching it.

I then diecut the panel with the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangle from Lawn Fawn. For the sentiment, I cut a strip of vellum, I stamped and embossed the sentiment on here. On vellum, I like to use Versafine Onyx Black, stamp it a couple of times using a Misti, then emboss it with ultrafine clear embossing powder.

I am not a fan of any of the vellum adhesives out there, so I just wrapped the strip of vellum around the card, added some foam tape strips to the back to hold it in place, and pop it up off of some kraft cardstock.

A pretty simple card, but I really enjoyed coloring it, and is perfect to brighten someone’s day! I hope they have inspired you! AND there are so many other supplies in the kit I have yet to play with- so even MORE cards to come! Get your kit here!
