Hello everyone! I’m so excited to be sharing with you a card that was inspired by my love for typography! Sending Love – Lawn Fawn
This card was an idea I had in my mind and was inspired by my love for typography. I thought it was fun to mix and match a few different sentiments to make this love card!
I started by cutting some Distress White Heavystock with the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangle. I then created a simple watercolor background using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink. To do this I painted on some water, and then brought my inky paintbrush to the water, moving the color around into the shape I wanted. I then dried it with the Ranger Heat Tool and did another layer on top. I LOVE how bright the colors stay on Distress White Heavystock!
Next, I diecut 3 “love ya”s from Big Scripty Words, and stamped them with Bubblegum Lawn Fawn Ink. It is much easier to diecut the scripty words first, then using the cardstock “frame” from die-cutting, stamp the sentiment. You can see this pic where I share how to do this. This way you are able to line up the sentiment perfectly!
Next, I stamped and die cut 3 heart swatches with Lobster Lawn Fawn ink. This stamp set is meant to help you swatch your ink pads, but it also was the perfect-sized heart for this card.
I then took the “love” sentiment from Scripty Bubble Sentiments, and a heart from Stitched Heart Stackables, and colored them in a gradient with Copic markers. You can see the colors I used below, and I have them linked in the supply list below.
I stamped “sending” onto the stitched heart with Versafine Onyx Black. I adhered all the sentiments and hearts with foam squares and foam strips. Once everything was adhered I used glossy accents and sprinkled on a bit of Chunky glitter here and there.
I just love how this card turned out, a bit different, but am happy with the results!
