The Rabbit Hole Design, Beachy Cards

Hi everyone! You might remember I introduced you to The Rabbit Hole Designs last month, sharing their spring release of fun products. Well, I am back today to share three fun cards with you with their latest release!

I loved creating the spring cards, but I had SO much fun creating these beachy cards! Not to mention, one of the new stamp sets has a very special meaning, so be sure to keep reading!

Shell Yeah

For this card, I started with the Starfish in the Sand stamp, I stamped it with Lawn Fawn Jet Black, on Neenah 80#, and proceeded to color with Copic markers.

I then die-cut the panel with LF’s Outside In Stitched Rectangle. Then I ink blended the edges with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, and a blender brush.

For the sentiment, I die-cut “Shell Yeah” out of Cole’s ABC’s and Ground Coffee Cardstock. I then stamped the Starfish in the sand image again and colored a few of the shells, and rocks. I fussy cut them out to add embellishments to the card. I used a Wink of Stella pen and added sparkle to all of the shells, starfish, and rocks. I then put a generous amount of glossy accents on top. I love how the sparkle really pops with the glossy accents on it.

Harley – Merbunny

This next card is super special to me. MaryAnn, one of the owners of The Rabbit Hole Designs is a BIG fan of my kitties. She always comments on posts I share of them on social media and admires them from afar. She is Jac’s #1 fan! She contacted me about creating a Mister Harley stamp a few months ago. She wanted it to be named after him, but also knows I love mermaids, so this is how we got this fun stamp Harley – Merbunny!

I started by stamping Harley onto Neenah 80# and coloring with Copic markers. I of course needed to color the bunny to look like Mister Harley, and I had a lot of fun coloring the mermaid tail.

I then die-cut 5 wave borders from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Wave Borders out of Distress White Heavystock. I ink blended each wave border with Distress, creating an ombré of colors in the waves. I used:

• Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide
• Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink
• Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide
• Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink
• Tumbled Glass Distress Ink

I then ink blended another panel of Distress White Heavystock. Concentrating the color on the top quarter of the panel. Using Abandoned Coral, Kitsch Flamingo, and Tattered Rose Distress Ink, to create a sunset sky.

I layered the waves onto this panel, and then popped up Harley the Merbunny onto the card. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set. Then I glittered all the things! I added Prisma Glitter to the mermaid tail and the starfish with a quickie glue pen. I added some Wink of Stella and glossy accents to the scallop shell. I added some chunky glitter to the waves with glossy accents. Lastly, I added some black glaze pen to the bunny eyes.

Sandy Hugs

For this next card, I started by stamping the new Beachin stamp set onto Neenah 80# cardstock. This stamp will work perfectly on a slimline card, but I wanted to crop the image a bit and worked on an A2 panel.

I then colored the image with Copic markers. I stamped “sending sandy” onto a sentiment banner with Lawn Fawn Smitty’s ABCs and Walnut inkpad. I then die-cut the banner and the background out of the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangles.

I die-cut “HUGS” from LF’s Oliver’s ABCs, and colored the letters with Copic markers, in a teal ombré. I used a quickie glue pen and added Prisma Glitter to the letters and some details on the pineapples. For some other finishing touches I then added some black glaze pen to the sunglasses. I added some white gel pen to the starfish. I added some Wink of Stella and glossy accents to the flower on the hat.
