Grateful For You
For this first card, I used the new Sentiment Suite You Hot Foil and foiled it with Spellbinders Matte Gold foil onto Distress White Heavystock. I am using the Spellbinders, Glimmer Hot Foil System and the Spellbinders Platinum Machine. The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System works with most die-cut machines, you don’t need a Spellbinders Platinum.
This hot foil plate also coordinates with Simply Sentiments You and Sentiment Suite You Die set, previously released.
I then used the new Dainty Plaid Stencil set to create the background. You can use the stencil in the 3 steps, then flip each stencil and ink blend again for a full-looking plaid.
Anytime I am using stencils, I use the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion to hold my stencils in place, and simply move them when needed.
I ink blended and I used Pink Fresh Inks in:
When ink blending I love the Simon Says Stamp blending brushes, which I store in a Layer Cake Brush Caddie. I also use the Ink Stands which come in rectangle or even mini! These stands help hold your ink in place so when you are rubbing your brush on to the pad it doesn’t move around. You also don’t need to hold onto the pad so you don’t get inky fingers.
To finish off the sentiment I used the new Fall Leaf Border Stencil to ink blend “Grateful for” in a gradient with Coral Reef and Passion Fruit inks. I then diecut it with the new Fall Leaf Border Dies. I added these to the card with some foam squares.
I trimmed this panel to be 4″ x 5.25″ and matted it onto an ink blended panel where I used Passion Fruit ink. Lastly, I added a few Peach Fuzz jewels.
Pinkfresh Studio has a new brass triangle tray to help with working with jewels, you can pour some jewels into the tray and be able to pick out the ones you want to add to your project easily. I also use the Pickup Stick tool from Trinity Stamps for easy jewel placement.
Cheering You On
For this second card, I created another plaid background just as I did above. This time I stamped the new Dainty Plaid stamp on top with Passion Fruit Ink.
I added a sentiment from the previously released Pinkfresh gold foil sentiment pack, with foam squares. I also added some Espresso Jewels.
