Hi everyone! I am wicked excited to have been asked to guest design for Pinkfresh! I have some fun cards to share with you using some of the new products that have just been released. Warning: I had WAY too much fun foiling all the things, and you just might be “jennabled” 😉 Be sure to read to the end of this post where you will find giveaway details, and where to hop next to be inspired!
Full disclosure this is the first time I have played with hot foil supplies. I found it EXTREMELY easy! It was fast, and I LOVE the results!
I used the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System seen above, and the Spellbinders Platinum Machine. The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System works with most die-cut machines, you don’t need a Spellbinders Platinum. For my cards below I used Spellbinders gold and opal shimmer foil. You Are Amazing
For this first card, I started by ink smooshing some Salvaged Patina Distress ink on Distress White Heavystock, I then stamped the envelope from the new Pinkfresh Floral Envelope set. Instead of die-cutting it out, I chose to fussy cut it so it wouldn’t have a white border. I then colored the bunch of flowers with Copic markers, specific markers shown below, and they are linked in the supply list at the end of this post. I die cut the flowers with the Floral Envelope coordinating die and cut a slit in the envelope with an x-acto knife. I tucked the flowers into the envelope- SO CUTE!
There is also a coordinating stencil for this set if you would like to ink blend your colors instead of coloring with markers or pencils.
For the sentiment, I used the new Pinkfresh Fancy Script Words Foil Plate and Fancy Script Word dies.
For the background of this card I used the new Geo Block Foil Plate, you are going to see that a lot in my cards today. I think it is so fun and can work for many different styles of cards! I used it on pink cardstock with opal glimmer foil. I then die-cut it with a stitched rectangle and mounted it on some teal cardstock.
There is also a coordinating Geo Block Stencil set!
You Are The Best
For this second card, I used another sentiment from the new Pinkfresh Fancy Script Words Foil Plate and Fancy Script Word dies with gold foil. I also used the Geo Blocks Foil Plate, and opal foil, this time on white cardstock. I like the subtle shimmer and texture it gives.
The florals on this card are from the new Pinkfresh Brighter Days stamp set, stencils, and dies. The stencils make coloring in the images SO fast and easy! If coloring isn’t your thing, or you just want some quick colorful images you will love this! I used blender brushes, and the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion to hold the stencils in place. I used Distress Inks for the different colors:
- Worn Lipstick
- Festive Berries
- Kitsch Flamingo
- Picked Raspberry
- Squeezed Lemonade
- Mustard Seed
- Twisted Citron
- Mowed Lawn
The stamp and die for this set is all one piece, this makes it super easy to line up, and work with the stencils! I added a few embellishments from Trinity Stamps Bubble Blower mix and Fortune Teller mix.
There is also a Brighter Days Hot Foil Plate to coordinate with this set!
Thinking of You
For this third card, I started by stamping one of the flowers from the new Pinkfresh Beautiful Blooms stamp set three times. I colored them with Copic markers, specific markers shown below, and they are linked in the supply list at the end of this post. I then die-cut them out with the Beautiful Blooms coordinating die. There is also a Beautiful Blooms stencil set for this stamp set, for an alternative way to color them.
For the background, I hot foiled the negative Geo Block Foil Plate from the You Are The Best card with opal foil. In order to do this, you need the Solid Hot Foil Plate. This is a great plate to have so you are able to use up the extra foil after foiling your initial design. I die cut it with a stitched rectangle.
For the sentiment, I used Pink Fresh’s Celebrating You hot foil plate and coordinating die. There is also a coordinating stamp set for these Celebrating You sentiments. I mounted the card on some holographic cardstock and added some Trinity Stamps Bubble Blower mix embellishments.
You’re the Sweetest
For this last card, I used a background I created a while ago, ink smooshing with Distress inks. I used gold foil and added the Geo Block Hot Foil plate to it. I then cut it with a stitched rectangle and mounted it on black cardstock. I used another foiled sentiment from the Celebrating You set.

Just bought the Go Press and Foil from Papercraft Clubhouse (they had a great deal on it). I am loving playing with it but am waiting for everyone to get more hot foil plates in stock so that I can foil all the things 😀

Laughing because for a minute I couldn’t remember your first name to look up your blog, because Tracie calls you Shurkus McGurkus so often. But I love how you used the glimmer geo-block plate to dry emboss. Any time I can find multiple ways to use a craft item, I am much more inclined to add it to my collection. I don’t know how you do it. You say you haven’t played with foiling and it was perfect. Amazing! I really liked the ink smooshed background and then the foiling on it. So pretty. Didn’t know you could do the smooshing and then foil. Your cards were so lovely and thanks for sharing them with us. Pink Fresh has such lovely products.
Do Not make me pick a favorite card!! Love them all. I got a glimmer machine for Christmas and have been itching to really use it. This release looks like a great place to start!

The last with the smooshed rainbow background & geo blocks hot foiling has to be my favorite – closely followed by the “negative” opal foiling!

I love the You’re the Sweetest card. I always love your inked backgrounds! I have tried to avoid the foiling but I may have been Jennabled! I do love how the sentiments look foiled. I need to see a video on how to use the foiling machine.
