I have a fun card to share with you using some of the new products that have just been released. I love how a layering stencil creates a beautiful and quick background. Love You The Most
For this card, I used the new Blooming Peony stamp and coordinating layering stencils to create this background on Distress White Heavystock.
I used the following ink pad colors from Pinkfresh Studio to ink blend:
- Royal Kiss
- Apricot
- Blue Jay
- Storm
- Stargazer
- Bubblegum
- Raspberry Bliss
- Meadow
- Emerald City
- Key Lime
- Olive
I have the mini ink pads, which I love. Using the Mini Ink Stand to hold the little cubes in place makes it so much easier to do a lot of ink blending. I used Simon Says Stamp blender brushes (that I store in my favorite brush caddy). As always when I use stencils I used the Make Art Stay-tion and whenever I am ink blending I love to use the Ink Stands to hold my ink pads, I also use a small mister bottle filled with Isopropyl Alcohol, to quickly clean my stencils with a Flour Sack Cloth.
I trimmed the background down to 4″ x 5.25″ and then adhered it to a card base so it has a small white border. I then foiled the new Love You Most Hot Foil with matte gold foil, and then die-cut it out with the coordinating die. I am using the Spellbinders, Glimmer Hot Foil System and the Spellbinders Platinum Machine. The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System works with most die-cut machines, you don’t need a Spellbinders Platinum.
Once the card was all assembled, I added some of the new Glitter Drops in Magenta, I just love these little gems so much!
