Hello everyone! Sharing a fun Lawn Fawn card today and I have a fun Facebook demo where I shared some tips and tricks on using your everyday stamp sets to create holiday cards.
Magical Christmas, Lawn Fawn
The Crafter’s Workshop which is located in Stouffville, ON Canada, asked me to take part in their Demo Day this past Saturday. They shared different LIVE demo’s throughout the day. I shared how I created this card, and some tips and tricks on using everyday sets to create holiday cards. They are a fabulous store and ship all over North America! I love to see what creative things stores are doing to still bring creativity and inspiration to you. You can watch the replay of the LIVE here, or click on it below:
Sheri, the owner had asked me to create a holiday card with Unicorn Picnic which is a set that came out this summer. I LOVE doing this- mixing and matching different Lawn Fawn sets so that they can tell different stories, or work for whatever theme I need.
I wanted the colors to be pink and green and very soft. I shared on the demo some of the colorings with Copic markers. I used some other sets to bring in the holiday theme starting with A Creature Is Stirring. The sweet little mice baking paired perfectly with all the sweet treats the Unicorn Picnic set had.
I recently offered an online card class featuring A Creature Is Stirring. Since it was online, it is still available to attend, you can watch the replays and still have access to all the class content. There are more details here.
I also used a few other sets to help set the holiday mood. I used Baaah Humbug for the santa hats and present. I also used Winter Alpaca to stamp the little snowflakes on the unicorns bum’s 😉 (a child of the 80’s I could only think of My Little Pony)
I used the Puffy Cloud Backdrop: Portrait to tie in the whole design. For the sentiment, I used the word “magical” from the Unicorn Picnic set, and “Christmas” from Simply Winter Sentiments. I used Ballet Slippers and Freshly Cut Grass Lawn Fawn ink to stamp those. I also used Ballet Slippers to ink the edges of the background with a blender brush.
For some finishing touches, I used a Quickie glue pen and Prisma Glitter as well as a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube and Chunky Glitter.
Hope this card and demo inspire you to create some holiday cards with your everyday stamps!
