So Thankful, Lawn Fawnatics

Hi, everyone! I am back again with some more inspiration with the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. If you love Lawn Fawn you should definitely follow us over on that site- we have a fabulous team that offers inspiration and chances to win gift certificates to Lawn Fawn!

So Thankful, Lawn Fawnatics

I wanted to really push the boundaries with color for this card. Why can’t we have shocking pink, teal and bright orange and yellow leaves during fall? In my imagination we do! I started by coloring the images from Thanks a Latte, Jump For Joy, and Big Acorn with Copic markers.

I then used the colors I used to color the images to guide me in ink blending a piece of cardstock. I used Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. I then used Heart Stackables to cut out a heart shape.

I then started arranging the images on and around the heart, so I would know where to stamp “so thankful” from Jump for Joy. I stamped the sentiment with Vintage Photo Archival Ink, so it would be nice and crisp on top of the ink blending. Once I had that stamped, I added some Prisma glitter with a Quickie glue pen to some of the images. I then started adhering all the images to a panel of Woodgrain cardstock. Once it was all stuck down I added some details with a white jelly roll pen. I also added the sentiment banner with “that we’re friends” which I stamped with Carrot Lawn Fawn ink.

I really like how this turned out. I know the colors aren’t traditional for a typical fall card- but I am not quite ready to let go of the bright colors of Summer. You still have time to play and create this weekend and enter the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge! Why not? Have fun!
