Grungy Halloween Card, Tim Holtz

Happy Halloween everyone! I know it may be too late to create a Halloween card for this year, but you can always save this inspiration for next year 😉

Grungy Halloween Card, Tim Holtz

Last weekend while watching Tim Holtz’s Fall Vibes Facebook Demo, I created these fun backgrounds (which will turn into cards soon). I also created this wicked grungy, spooky background too, and had to make one more Halloween card for this year.

I highly recommend watching his demo, I have it linked above. I had so much fun just following along with the order of steps and supplies he did- didn’t have to “overthink the ink” and just play!

I then took this spooky background and some fun stamp sets to create the card. Using Scared Silly, I stamped out the ghost, the jack-o-lantern, the black cat, and the eyeball jar. I then colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out.

I embellished the images with a Quickie glue pen and onyx ultrafine glitter. I then adhered them to the card. I stamped the “Happy Halloween” sentiment from the Mr. Bones stamp set, cut them out into “word fetti” and inked the edges with a black ink pad.

Lastly, I added some glossy accents to the eyeball in the jar and the cat’s eyes.
