Lucky You, Simon Says Stamp

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing a fun card I created with some of the new exclusive products from the Simon Says Stamps Splendor Release!

Lucky You, Simon Says Stamp

For this card, I started by creating the background. I white embossed the Topography stamp onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I stamp the image several times over using a Misti and Yeti white pigment ink, then sprinkle the Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.

and I watercolored with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I used the following colors:

• Cracked Pistachio
• Evergreen Bough
• Pine Needles
• Peacock Feathers
• Scorched Timber
• Ground Espresso

I also used the Distress Sprayer to break up the pigment and move the colors around. I also dried between layers with the Ranger Heat tool.

For the sentiment, I used the Lucky You Die. I die cut both layers out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, and watercolored them with Distress Watercolor Pencils.

I used Scorched Timber and Ground Espresso for the back layer and Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers for the top. I assembled the card, and then covered the sentiment with a generous amount of Glossy Accents. Lastly, I added a few gems from my stash for a little sparkle on the card.
