Inky Berries, Honey Bee Stamps

Hi everyone! I am wicked excited to have been asked to design for Honey Bee Stamps! Not only will I be sharing inspiration with Honey Bee Stamps products, but I will also be sharing videos and how-to’s as well! If you have been following me for a while you know I want to share more videos with you, but it has been hard to find time among all the classes I have been offering. When it comes to being creative, give me a “project” and I work well with deadlines, so this is perfect!

I have been creating with Honey Bee Stamps for a long time, they have sponsored many of my Creative Journey Art Retreats and I am so thankful for that I always have fun playing with their products!

In the video (linked below) you will see me create these two inky cards filled with the new Lovely Layers Strawberries from Honey Bee Stamps and Distress re-inkers. I also used sentiments from You’re a Keeper and the Whimsical Hearts Stencil.

I also used some of the new patterned papers in the Happy Hearts paper pad and the Gingham Happy Hearts paper pad. No glitter on these cards, but I couldn’t resist using some of the new Crystal Glimmer Enamel Dots and Happy Hearts Pearls.

The background of the second card, is the Whimsical Hearts stencil that I spread some Translucent Distress Crackle Paste. You want to let this air dry to be able to get the best cracks. Both backgrounds, and all the die-cuts were created with Distress Watercolor Cardstock.

As I mentioned I watercolored with Distress re-inkers, and you will see this in the video, I chose this way so the colors were very vibrant. You can also use your Distress Ink Pads, your colors might just be a bit more subtle. I used the following colors, and they are all linked below:

• Saltwater Taffy
• Festive Berries
• Scattered Straw
• Mustard Seed
• Fossilized Amber
• Crushed Olive
• Peeled Paint
• Tea Dye
