Alright, now to the fun card I have to share with you-
Hot Foiled Happy Birthday, Lawn Fawnatics
I had a lot of fun playing with some new items from the spring Lawn Fawn release. I started by hot foiling the background with the new Cloud Background Hot Foil Plate and Opal hot foil, I then ink blended over it with Merman Lawn Fawn ink, I also hot foiled “happy birthday” with the new Big Scripty Words hot foil plates, this coordinates with the coordinating dies that match the stamp set that has been out for years.
I am using the Spellbinders, Glimmer Hot Foil System, and the Spellbinders Platinum Machine. The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System works with most die-cut machines, you don’t need a Spellbinders Platinum. When hot foiling I have found that this Hammermill cardstock works really well! When I am ink blending AND hot foiling then I use Distress White heavystock.
I then stamped, die cut, and colored with Copic markers images from the new Elephant Parade and Elephant Parade Add-On. I used Lawn Fawn Jet Black and Lawn Fawn white cardstock which is Neenah Classic Crest 80 LB Smooth Solar White Paper.
I used the above Copic markers to color the images. You will find them linked below in the cardmaking supply list. With the swatches above you can easily substitute for similar colors, or even a different coloring medium. I added a small strip of grass cut from the Grassy Border out of Pesto Spiffy Speckles, I also matted the background with some Gold metallic cardstock, and Cilantro cardstock. I added a touch of sparkle with a Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter.
