Happy DieCember!

Happy DieCember everyone! Simon Says Stamp has a ton of fun products they are releasing today all focused around stand-alone dies, and I have a few cards to inspire you! See all of the new products here

Snowflake Cheers!

I love snowflakes! Not the real ones, that make the ground white and happen when it’s cold out but sparkly paper snowflakes are so fun!

For this card, I used the new Dancing Snowflakes die and Cheers die.

I started by ink blending a background with blender brushes and some of the new Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks: Bubblegum, Sweets, Taffy, and Royal onto Distress White Heavystock cardstock.

I absolutely LOVE the new Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pads, so much so I have started collecting them all! A few of the reasons why I love them:

• bright, vivid colors
• blends smoothly
• stamps crisply
• super juicy, but not messy

After I ink blended the background, I diecut it with the largest rectangle from the Outside In Stitched Rectangle set from Lawn Fawn.

Next, I die cut the Dancing Snowflakes out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock and attached it to the background with a glue tube.

Then I die cut the Cheers die, 5 times out of white cardstock, and once out of Gold Sparkle Cardstock. Using a glue tube, I adhered them together, stacking them, for a chunky sentiment. I added the sentiment to the card. I finished off the card by adding a few sequins here and there.

I matted the panel onto some Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock.

For the second card, I did the same things, only the background of this one is watercolored with Distress Inks on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I used Villainous Potion, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, and Prize Ribbon. I love how different they both look!
