Get Cracking: Snow Angels

I have two cards to share with you this month. I’m giving a little love to kitties AND dogs! But first, Mister Harley 😉

Using Newton’s Nook Snow Angel Newton stamp set, I started by stamping the kitty and coloring it with Copic markers to look like Mister Harley, of course. You can see specific colors I used below, and they are linked individually in the supply list at the end of this post. Once I was don’t coloring, I fussy cut out the cat, right along the stamped line.

I then stamped and white embossed the image on vellum, and die cut it out with the coordinating die. Using a glue tube I adhered the Copic colored/fussy cut image onto the vellum embossed piece.

For the background, I stamped the Honeybee Stamp Falling Snow Background stamp with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink, onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Before stamping it I misted the stamp with some water, so it would stamp a little less than perfect. I dried it with a Ranger heat tool. Then using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink Reinker, I splattered some ink onto the background. Again drying it with the Ranger heat tool.

I then ink blended some cardstock with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide and an ink blending tool/domed foam. I then diecut out the word “snow” from Simon Says Stamp Winter Snow die set.

I then stamped the sentiment included in the Snow Angel Newton stamp set ” Thanks SNOW Much!” with Bubblegum Lawn Fawn ink. I “word- fetti’d” the words “Thanks” and “much” to create my own sentiment.

I added a bit of sparkle, you know “Glitter all of the things” to the snowflakes, the bottom of the word “snow”, and details on the kitty’s scarf and hat with a Quickie Glue pen and Prisma glitter.

I stamped various snowflakes with Kitsch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide, and die cut them out. Once I had them placed on the card, I added some Prisma glitter with a Quickie Glue pen.

I matted the card onto Peacock cardstock.

I then used Newton’s Nook Snow Angel Puppy and created another card with the same techniques!
