Get Cracking: Peace, Love, and Joy
If you have been following my Get Cracking on Christmas series you know I love to use non-traditional colors on my holiday cards, and this Christmas Camper image from Stamping Bella was just begging for fun bright colors!
I started by stamping the camper directly onto a piece of Distress White Heavystock. I then colored it with Copic markers. You can see below the specific colors I used, and the colors are linked in the supply list at the bottom of this post.
Next using the Peace Joy Hope Love stencil from Simon Says Stamp, I ink blended a rainbow ombre at the bottom of the card using Distress Inks:
- Kitsch Flamingo
- Squeezed Lemonade
- Twisted Citron
- Salvaged Patina
- Wilted Violet
I used mini ink blending brushes to help control the color between the words. This worked out perfectly. Of course, I also used the Wendy Vecchi Stay-tion to hold the stencil in place and a few square Ink Stands to hold the Distress Inks while ink blending!
I then trimmed the panel down to be 4″ x 5.25″. On another A2 panel, I ink blended the edges with the same rainbow colors, and foam taped the front panel to it.
Next, I used a Quickie Glue Pen, and Prisma glitter to add some sparkle to the camper, and the bow on the wreath. I also drew hearts into the “o” in the words from the stencil.
I used a Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, to lay down a thick amount of glue, along the “ground” of the trailer, and added Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter to that.
On another piece of cardstock, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black, and fussy cut it out. I used foam squares to add it to the front of the card.
Copic Markers Used
I LOVE how bright and sparkly this card turned out!
