Hello everyone! I am excited to continue to share the Get Cracking on Christmas series and wicked excited to work on my stash of holiday cards throughout the year! I will continue to create holiday cards with NO STRESS, using stamps and supplies I haven’t had a chance to play with yet and experimenting with different techniques.

Get Cracking: Believe in the Magic

A Tim Holtz/Stamper Anonymous release always makes me happy and inspires me! I am using the Festive Print and Jolly Holiday stamp set. I created the background and stamped the Santa on Distress White Heavystock with Distress Oxide inks in the following colors:

Spun Sugar

Kitsch Flamingo

Saltwater Taffy

Picked Raspberry

Festive Berries

For the sentiment, I used one from Christmas Cartoons. I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. I white embossed it onto Lawn Fawn Black Licorice cardstock. I stamp the sentiment several times over using a Misti and Yeti white pigment ink, then sprinkle the Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe.

I fussy cut out the Santa, and added him and the sentiments to the card with foam squares and strips. I then spread Distress Grit Paste Snowfall onto the white parts of Santa’s outfit and along the ground with a palette knife.
