This event is sold out, if you would like to be added to the waitlist please email info@croponthecape.com thank you!
Registration for Crop on the Cape, which will be held in person March 14-17, 2024, is this Sunday, November 5, at 10a ET. is SOLD OUT. Email us if you would like to be added to the waitlist.
This is a very popular event so I thought I would share some tips to help you register, as well as some updated information about the event. Remember, this weekend is daylight savings time.
Crop on the Cape is a fun, in-person papercrafting event that over 250 people attend. You can work on your own projects (scrapbooking, cardmaking, mixed media, etc.) and sign up for additional classes if you choose. We have a variety of vendors on-site for all your shopping needs. We host exciting games and giveaways throughout the weekend as well! The cost is $175 per person. You will register for your hotel room separately and you can find all of that information here.
I encourage you to read over the Crop on the Cape website to learn more about this fabulous event.
Crop on the Cape is not to be confused with the Creative Journey Art Retreat, which is another completely different in-person event that I host. I am hosting that event in just a few days and plan on hosting it again in November 2024.
Some updates about Crop on the Cape:
At Crop on the Cape we are offering 14 different classes that you may sign up for. This is in addition to your creative space in the crop/ballroom. You need to register for the event first before you will be able to sign up for the classes, as they are only available to attendees at this time. We hosted a survey at the end of the last event and many of you asked for more scrapbooking classes. We listened and know you’ll LOVE the class offerings!
Be sure to check out the weekend schedule when planning your class schedule as some classes occur at the same time. We will update the weekend schedule as we get closer to the event and have more details.

Set up/log into your account here
Fill out as much information as possible in your account to help speed up the registration process, this also helps me assist you down the road when you have questions about classes you may have registered for, etc. Provide your full name, billing address, shipping address, etc.
At the time of registration, you will want to either go to the shop, then click “Crop on the Cape registration”
– OR –
choose “classes” from the menu (see the images below)
The classes on this page are divided into Upcoming Classes in chronological order, and then Classes On-Demand. You will want to scroll to the bottom of the Upcoming Classes section to see the Crop on the Cape registration.
Exclusive Gear
We hope to have the pre-order for exclusive gear up on the site during event registration. If, for some reason we don’t, we will open up the pre-order shortly after registration for those who are registered for the event. We want to be sure that you are able to get the size, style, color, and design in gear that YOU want. So be sure to pre-order! We will not be bringing a lot of extra gear to sell on-site. All gear that is pre-ordered will be available for pickup at the event, and we will not be shipping this.
At this time, all Crop on the Cape Classes and gear is exclusive to those attending the event. You must be registered to be able to purchase these items.
Register for a friend!
You can register for up to eight friends total, but we’ll need some information. We need to know all of the following:
- Friend’s First Name
- Friend’s Last Name
- Friend’s Email
Seating Requests
You will also have a space to list out who you want to sit with when you register. As I am sure you can imagine, organizing a seating chart for 250+ people is a challenging task. If your group is larger than 4, please list as many as you can in your group and we will do the best we can to accommodate your requests. Note: If your group is larger than 8, you will be seated at different tables. Please be sure everyone in your group lists the SAME people, the same first name, and last name on their registrations.
Phantom Seats
In 2024 phantom seats will not be available.
I understand this may be a surprise to some of our attendees. But let me explain our decision. In the past, we offered a limited number of “phantom seats” –an extra seat that could be purchased at your table to provide a bit more space. Today, interest in attending Crop on the Cape has increased dramatically, and a record number of new attendees have participated. We want to allow as many people to attend and experience the event as possible, so in 2024, we will not be offering any phantom seats.
Payment
You will be able to pay with either a credit card or PayPal. The full registration amount is due at the time of registration.
Please keep track of which classes you paid to attend. You can always log into your account at www.shurkus.com/my-account and see your registration and the classes you signed up for.
