Ok, now I have some fun cards to share with you using some of the new ink colors that have just been released. I had fun creating some non-traditional holiday color combos to hopefully inspire you! Folk Snowflake Card Set, Pinkfresh Studio
I wanted to create more blended backgrounds for this card set with the new Pinkfresh Studio inks and some of the inks we already love!
When ink blending a large background, I find using larger blender brushes best for a smooth blend, I store my blender brushes in the layer cake holder, this makes it easy to access all of my brushes, and it doesn’t take up a lot space on my studio table. My favorite surface to ink blend on is Distress White Heavystock. I also recommend ink blending on a non-porous surface such as glass. Lastly, I recommend using the ink stands to hold your ink pads in place while ink blending- this way you won’t get inky fingers, or have to hold onto your ink pad while blending.
For the above card, I blended Pinkfresh Inks in Waterfall, Turquoise, Paradise, and Atlantis. I then gold-embossed the new Folk Snowflake, along with the sentiment. I die-cut the sentiment and added it to the card with foam strips. I also die-cut the new Ornate Rectangle Frame Die out of gold metallic cardstock and added that to the card with foram strips.
I then added some new Turquoise Clear Drops! On the other cards, I used Clear Drops in Ice, Lilac, and Blush. All the colors are SO fun! I also used the new Beyond Happy stamp set for one of the sentiments.
I’m going to share the other cards I created with the same process below. Then I will share the ink colors I used for each at the end.
Pink/Red card:
- Cherry Blossom
- Peony
- Begonia
- Mulberry
- Blush
Purple card:
- Sheer Freesia
- Wisteria
- Hydrangea
- Opulence
Rainbow card:
- Bubblegum
- Sweet Mustard
- Turquoise
- Candy Violet
