Hi everyone! I am back today to share with you another card I created with the new Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous holiday stamp release. I am honored to be a Tim Holtz maker and am so excited to inspire you more with his products!!!
All Is Calm All Is Bright, Tim Holtz
Did you see Tim Holtz demo last weekend? I had it on in my studio while I tore it apart, trying to reorganize things a bit. He went over a mask free coloring technique, and that is exactly what I did on this card here, even used the same set- without even knowing ha! Great minds think alike!
I started with the Forest Floor stamp set and stamped the large pine tree branch in Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide on Distress Watercolor Cardstock using a Misti. While the ink was still wet, I used a wet paintbrush and brushed out the stamped lines a bit. I then dried the cardstock a bit with a heat tool. I put the cardstock back in the Misti, I hadn’t moved the large pine tree branch stamp, so I inked it again in Rustic Wilderness and stamped- cresting the detailed lines again on top of what I watercolored.
I repeated this process stamping the berries, with Festive Berries Distress Oxide, the pine cones with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide, and the other greens in Pine Needles Distress Oxide.
I then splattered some Vintage Photo ink on the background. Then I dried it all with a heat tool.
Next, I stamped the sentiment “All Is Calm All Is Bright” from Bold Tidings 4 and embossed it in gold. Can you tell yet that I just love these sentiment sets? I have been using them on so many cards!
Then I die-cut the panel with the Outside In Stitched Rectangles from Lawn Fawn and adhered it to a piece of gold metallic kraft stock from Tim Holtz. This is such a pretty gold cardstock.
This card really was easy, and didn’t take long at all- perfect idea to mass-produce for some quick holiday cards!
