Hi everyone! I am back today to share with you another card I created with the new Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous holiday stamp release. I am honored to be a Tim Holtz maker and am so excited to inspire you more with his products!!!
Snowy Holiday Season, Tim Holtz
For this card, I started by stamping the snowman from Tim’s new set, Winterscape with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I then stamped the large tree with Pine Needles Distress Oxide ink.
With a wet brush, I pulled the ink from the tree, since I stamped it with Distress Oxide, which has pigment ink properties the ink will still move.
I then used regular Distress inks to paint in the snowman with Tumbled Glass, Wilted Violet, Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade. Since I stamped with Antique Linen Distress ink, the stamped line takes on the color of ink that I paint over it- giving the no-line watercolor look.
I then masked the snowman and the tree and did some ink blending with Faded Jeans and Wilted Violet Distress Ink. I then stamped the fun little snowy background included in the Winterscapes set with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide.
I stamped the sentiment from Christmastime 3. I actually cut the sentiment apart, because I found it easier to stamp it separately and if I ever want to stamp them together again then I can put them back together easily.
I stamped “Best wishes for the” with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide, and “Holiday Season” I gold embosses.
For some finishing touches, I used Distress Collage Medium and added some Distress Rock Candy to the snowy parts of the tree, and some Distress Mica Flakes to the ground.
I have more cards I will be sharing with you over the next couple of weeks. I had so much fun creating them, and really stretching my creative mojo. You can also see the cards I have previously shared here:
I hope you enjoy today’s card and will check back for more cards to come!
