Alright, now to the fun card I have to share with you-
You’re a Star, Lawn Fawnatics
It is pretty rare for me to create a clean and simple card, and I’m not going to lie, I wanted to add a little watery distress ink on the background of this card, but it is also fun to challenge yourself sometimes, and I am so happy with how this card turned out.
I started by stamping out some images from Mermaid For You and So Jelly. I colored these images with Copic markers. You can see the individual markers I used here, and they are also linked below.
I then stamped and die cut “star” with Sunflower ink and a heart with Bubblegum ink with Owen’s ABCs.
I cut a variety of hearts, with the Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag die. I cut them out of Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock, and some out of white cardstock, coloring them with pink Copics.
I cut out some white cardstock with the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangle, to create my scene on.
I then adhered the images, clustered more towards the center of the card. Having all the images clustered in the center somehow touching each other makes them have a cohesive feel, I call this “cluster stamping”. I also have some of the images flat against the card, and some popped up with foam squares, this helps build the scene and gives a nice dimension. I used the Stay-tion to help me keep my sentiment letters nice and straight. I stamped “You’re a” from the So Jelly stamp set, using Versafine Onyx Black. I also stamped a few bubbles with Merman ink.
Using a Quickie Glue Pen, and Prisma Glitter I added some sparkle details. I also added some details with a white gel pen, and glossy accents.
Tip: When adding Glossy Accents to the bubble trio, I did one bubble at a time, letting it dry, then the second, and so forth. This way the bubbles would keep the shape of 3 different ones, instead of one clump.
I matted the whole card front on Sticky Note Cardstock.
