Wicked, No Tricks, Just Treats – Lawn Fawn
Ok, now onto this wicked cute, but yet spooky card! You knew I would be sharing more cards with the new Purrfectly Wicked set and the Purrfectly Wicked add-on of course! This is actually the set we will be creating with tonight during the Create with Us mini class. If you can’t join us you can still find all the details and a link to the replay here.
I started by stamping each of the kitties and coloring them to look like my boys, Mister Harley, Gus, and Jac. I then stamped and colored their costumes, the candies, and trick or treat bags from the following sets:
I dressed up each of the kitties. Mister Harley is a witch, Jac is in the Jack-o-lantern and Gus Gus is a fairy (shhh.. don’t tell him 😉 ). I added some sparkle with a Quickie Glue Pen and Prisma Glitter. I also added a little glossy accents to each of the little candy corns.
I set the kitties aside and worked on some inky elements. On a panel of Distress White Heavystock, I did some ink smooshing with regular Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Fossilized Amber. I ink blended the edges with a little bit of Black Soot Distress Ink.
I will be sharing a similar technique tonight in the Create with us Mini class.
On another Distress White Heavystock panel, I ink smooshed with both regular and oxide Distress Inks in Hickory Smoke, then using a circle from the circle stackable set, I cut out a moon.
I then diecut the Spooky Fence out of some Black Licorice Cardstock. I diecut a bat from the Build-a-House Halloween Add On with some black sparkle cardstock from the Autumn Sparkle Cardstock pack.
I adhered the moon to the background, and then the spooky fence. I added the sparkly bat and stamped some smaller bats from Tiny Halloween.
Next, I ink blended a strip of Distress White Heavystock with Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I then spread a very thin layer of Glow-in-the-Dark stencil paste, and let it dry. Once dry, I used Finley’s ABCs and cut out the word “WICKED”.
I arranged the trick-or-treat scene with my kitties and the sentiments. I love how the word “WICKED” glows in the dark!
There is something about creating Halloween cards, I have so much fun doing so! I hope you have enjoyed this card, and I hope my kitties will share some of the candy they have collected 😉
