Hey friends! Simon Says Stamp has come out with some more coordinating dies to work with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp sets! I used some of the fabulous coordinating dies to create these cards.
These dies are exclusively available at Simon Says Stamp! 🙌
Not only do they save you from all that fussy cutting, but they also unlock a whole new world of creative possibilities, especially when it comes to layering and collage. Let’s dive in!

Unimaginable, Tim Holtz

I absolutely love when some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamp sets have coordinating dies, and this Professor set is such a fun one. I mean… those glasses?! Total personality.
I started by ink blending Distress Ink onto Distress White Heavystock. I used an ink-blending tool with domed foam to really load up the color and get a heavy, vibrant saturation. All of the colors I used are listed and linked below in the full supply list.
Once the background was blended, I added some black splatters using Black Soot Distress Paint for a little extra contrast and texture.
Next, I grabbed a few stamps from the Professor stamp set and created my own background stamp by arranging them on a large acrylic block. I misted the stamps with water and stamped them directly onto the ink-blended background. The water reacts with the Distress Ink, creating a soft, ghosted effect that I just love.
I stamped the Professor image twice using the Lawn Fawn River Rock ink pad. On one of the images, I watercolored the glasses with Distress Watercolor Pencils, creating a fun rainbow ombré effect. For the top hat, I applied Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the stamp, misted lightly with water, and stamped it down.
Once everything was completely dry, I die cut all of the images using the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card front.
To add a little pop of personality, I die cut a small heart, watercolored it, and placed it on the Professor’s chest. I finished the card with an encouraging sentiment using Small Talk stickers.
For the final touches, I added Glossy Accents to the glasses and the heart for some shine. I sprinkled Distress Rock Candy Clear and Distress Rock Candy Chunk glitter onto the right side of the top hat for just a bit of sparkle.
