Hey crafty friends! 👋 I’m popping in to share a card I made using some of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps and stencils from Stampers Anonymous.
Fun fact: Stampers Anonymous doesn’t retire their Tim Holtz designs—so there’s a huge library of awesome stamps and stencils you might not have seen in a while (or totally forgot you had 😉).
Hope this project sparks some inspiration to dig into your stash and get creative! ✨

Artistic Collage, Stampers Anonymous

For these cards, I started by creating soft, subtle backgrounds using ink smooshing on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I applied Antique Linen to one background, and Pumice Stone Distress Ink to the other, letting the inks blend naturally and dry completely before moving on.
Once the backgrounds were dry, I pulled out one of my favorite Stampers Anonymous Classic stamp sets. Instead of inking the stamp traditionally, I scribbled Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the stamp, using several colors at once. I then misted the stamp with water from a Distress Sprayer and stamped it right over the inky background. This technique creates a beautifully loose, layered look that’s never exactly the same twice.
For the sentiments, I heat embossed them in white on black cardstock, then trimmed them down into little pieces of “word-fetti” to add to the cards. As a finishing touch, I added Distress Rock Candy Clear to the dragonfly wings and a bit of the pear for subtle sparkle and texture.
This is another great example of how far you can go with techniques and supplies you may already have on hand. Don’t worry about perfection, embrace the layers, let things get a little messy, and see where the process takes you.
