For all of these cards, I played with the Distress Watercolor Pencils. If you would like to learn more about this coloring medium and become more comfortable with them, I would encourage you to sign up for my Distress Techniques: Distress Watercolor Pencil online class!
Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous, Floral Trims
For this card, I used the new Floral Trims stamp set. I started by stamping one of the floral images onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Antique Linen Distress Ink, I then watercolored it with Distress Watercolor Pencils to have a no-line effect.
For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Note Quotes stamp set by scribbling the Salvaged Patina Distress Watercolor Pencil directly onto the stamp, misting with water from the Distress Sprayer, and stamping it. I then cut it into some “word fetti”
For the background of the card, I used one of the new Layering Stencils, Brush Mark. I ink blended some Salvaged Patina Distress Ink through the stencil onto the smooth side of the Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then used the Salvaged Patina Distress Watercolor Pencils to add some layers on top of the mark shapes that were already there.
