Tim Holtz/Sizzix: NEW Holiday Products!

Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you a few cards I created with the new Tim Holtz/Sizzix release. Tim Holtz/Sizzix: Peace Card Set

For this set of cards, I used the new Christmas Cutouts die set. I found once I started creating one card, I kept thinking of more ideas, so a card set was born!

For this first card, I actually used most of the elements in the die set. I started by inking up some pieces of Distress White Heavystock with Distress Oxides in the following colors:

• Picked Raspberry
• Spiced Marmalade
• Mustard Seed
• Twisted Citron
• Peacock Feathers
• Shaded Lilac
• Wilted Violet

I then started to adhere the scene onto a stitched rectangle using Glue Tube and Foam Squares. I inked the edges of the card base with the same Distress colors but regular Distress so it would be more translucent. I also added a touch of Prisma glitter to the stars.

For this card, I inked some Distress White Heavystock in the same colors as above, and diecut out the words. I used the back cut-out layer, to place the letters back in place, I then hold it all together with low tack tape, and flip the letters over, adding some foam strips to then adhere to the card. I also sprinkled a few sequins for a little sparkle.

And then for this third card, it was inspired by the previous one, once I got all those words on the card, I thought to myself “wow that really looks like a tree” and then, of course, I had to create just that!

I started by ink blending a rainbow background with regular Distress ink, and die-cut it with a stitched rectangle. Then this time I inked some Distress White Heavystock panels with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide, and cut the letters out. I decided to keep the knock-out part to create my tree. I added them to the card. I cut the shape accents and a star from a previous sizzix die set out of gold sparkle paper, and added those to the card as well!

I had so much fun creating these cards and I hope they have inspired you, and maybe it has “jennabled” you a bit to go shopping! I will be back soon with even more ideas!
