Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you a few fun projects I created with the new Tim Holtz/Sizzix release. Tim Holtz/Sizzix: NEW Chapter 2 Products!
I was having a ton of fun playing with some of the new release, and I enjoyed using bright colors on all my projects! Let’s get started with all the details
These first two cards were created with the new Artsy Stems. I love how funky and fun these designs are! I ink blended a rainbow using Distress Ink on Distress White Heavystock.

I then splattered a bit of Black Soot Distress Paint. I cut out some of the artsy stems out of black cardstock and adhered them to the card.
I then white embossed a few sentiments from the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text stamp set. When white embossing I find the most success using the Cottontail Powder tool to take out any static, or oils from the cardstock. Then I use white pigment ink, my fave is Lawn Fawn Yeti ink. I then use my favorite white embossing powder, Alabaster White by Brutus Monroe. I added a few sparkly sequins as an embellishment.
Using the Artsy Stems dies again, I did some ink smooshing with Distress Inks on Distress White Heavystock. I used

- Spiced Marmalade
- Mustard Seed
- Twisted Citron
- Salvaged Patina
- WIlted Violet
Then I die-cut each of the artsy stems, cutting the tops off, and arranged them onto some black cardstock. I then colored some blends with Copic markers on Distress White Heavystock, and die-cut a few of the new Silhouette Birds.
I then arranged the birds on the stems with foam squares. Using the new Bold Text Dies, I cut out the word shine from some silver sparkle cardstock and added that word to the card with foam strips.
Lastly, I added a generous amount of glossy accents to each bird, let that dry, and then added a second coat.
Next, I created some fun panels with Alcohol Pearls on Yupo paper. I used
- Tranquil
- Sublime
- Intrigue
- Enchanted
- Splendor
- Alchemy
with lots of blending solution and the alcohol ink air blower. I then diecut the sentiments from the new Bold Text dies. I mounted the panels on a white card base with foam tape and added some sequins.
I then created some inky backgrounds on Distress White Heavystock with Distress Inks, and ink smooshing with acetate. Once they were dry, I used the cut-out letters from the alcohol ink backgrounds to create another set of cards.

I matted each of the cards onto some coordinating cardstock. I added 2 layers of glossy accents to each letter and sprinkled some sequins for some sparkle.

My favourite of the new release is the Woven 3D embossing folder but closely followed by the Bold Text 2 die. I love how you have combined it with the alcohol inks on yupo to make such happy and bright, yet relatively simple cards. Thank you for the inspiration!
Love the ink blending on the first card. Thanks to you, I’ve gotten so much better making an ink blended background. The alcohol ink background is special, also. Darn should have done some of that for my Easter cards. Thanks for all you do.
Love all your cards! Love that you always have so much color! So bright and cheerful! I think my favorite die is the artsy stems! Love how you used them different ways!
