Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you a card I created with the new Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous release. I am honored to be a Tim Holtz maker and am so excited to inspire you more with his products!!! Did you catch Tim Holtz during his LIVE on his YouTube channel? Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous: Stay Curious
For this card, I started with the new Abstract Flowers stamp set. I used Distress Watercolor Pencils, dipping them in water and then scribbling directly onto the stamp. I created two backgrounds.
Warm Color Distress Watercolor Pencils:
- Festive Berries
- Abandoned Coral
- Saltwater Taffy
- Picked Raspberry
- Spun Sugar
Cool Color Distress Watercolor Pencils:
- Rustic Wilderness
- Uncharted Mariner
- Peacock Feathers
- Salvaged Patina
- Shabby Shutters
- Tumbled Glass
Once I stamped the abstract flowers onto a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock, I also splattered a bit of the pigment as well. I then stamped the large numbers are sentiments from the Curiosity Shop stamp set with Distress Oxide ink. I used Spun Sugar on the warm-toned background and Shabby Shutters on the cool-toned one.
I then used Distress Watercolor Pencils directly onto the pointing finger and stamped onto another piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I used Festive Berries/Abandoned Coral on the warm-toned one and Uncharted Mariner/Tumbled Glass on the cool-toned one. I cut the pointing finger out.

I then embossed the sentiment onto some vellum. To get a nice crisp, black emboss, I use Versafine Onyx Black ink, stamp the sentiment a few times using a Misti, let the ink build up, and then use ultra-fine clear embossing powder. Whenever I do ANY embossing, I prep the surface using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool.
