Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous: Miss You
For this card, I used the new Labels Layering Stencil and wet the tip of some Distress Watercolor Pencils and scribbled directly onto the stencil. I then pressed/printed the stencil onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I left the stencil in place, I then used a wet paintbrush to pick up some Distress Watercolor Pencil, and filled in each of the label openings. I started with bright colors, then I mixed in a little Lost Shadow Distress Watercolor Pencil. I then stamped one of the flowers and sentiments from the new Abstract Flowers stamp set directly onto the background with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Did you know? That Simon Says Stamp is offering coordinating dies for some of Tim Holtz’s stamp sets? This stamp set is one of them!
I have so much fun creating with the Distress Watercolor Pencils. If you are interested in learning more about Distress Watercolor Pencils check out my online class!
I added some Distress Rock Candy with Distress Collage Medium onto the white parts of the flower. I love this subtle shimmer and texture! I trimmed this background and added it to another DIstress Watercolor Cardstock Panel, that I did a little pigment smooshing on, and added some black dot washi I had in my stash.
I love how this card turned out, with the stencil being the focal point! Be sure to check out my other project I shared with the Wheel Layering Stencil
