Alright, now to the fun card I have to share with you-

So Grateful, Lawn Fawnatics

The inspiration photo inspired me to create this fun fall scene. The star of the show is my beloved Happy Harvest scarecrow! And, if you LOVE him then you want to be sure to sign up for my next online class that I am teaching with Chari Moss.

Now, to the details of this card- I started by stamping out images from Happy Harvest and You Autumn Know with Crunchy Leaf ink, to give a softer edge. I colored them with Copics and die cut them out.

Above you can see the Copic markers I used. Let me know if you find this helpful, it is something new I thought of to share with you.

I set these images aside and got to the inky fun! On some Distress White Heavystock, I did some ink smooshing with some Distress inks:

• Scattered Straw
• Fossilized Amber
• Ripe Persimmon
• Rusty Hinge
• Crushed Olive
• Vintage Photo

I then ink blended the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, to fill in some of the white areas. Next, I die cut this panel with the new Fall Leaves Backdrop. I also created an inky background with just Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and from that, I die cut the Leafy Tree Backdrop: Landscape

I layered the two backdrops, and then added a stitched frame I cut out of Ground Coffee cardstock to finish it off.

For the background I did a simple wash of Salty Ocean Distress ink on Distress White Heavystock, this was to mimic the beautiful blue skies in the image above. I set up the scene with the scarecrow, pumpkins, leaves and little mouse. Then I added the sentiment, stamping some of it directly onto the background and stamping/die cutting “grateful” with Pumpkin Spice ink and Scripty Autumn Sentiments.

It’s officially fall now, so this mermaid is ok sharing some autumn inspiration! I hope it inspires you and you will join us in the challenge! I also hope to “see” you in a class soon!
