Trick or Treat, Tim Holtz/Sizzix

Trick or Treat, Tim Holtz/Sizzix

Does anyone else love to create for the Halloween season? I LOVE all things Halloween. I love the color schemes, the imagination behind it, scary movies, and oh yeah, the candy! Although Tim can keep ALLLLL the candy corn and autumn mixes BLEGH!

For this card, I started by ink blending a background on Distress White Heavystock with Distress Oxide inks. I used Wilted Violet, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed. I then used a little Black Soot Distress Ink on the edges, I wanted it to have some transparency and not overpower the other colors. I then die-cut the background panel with Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Rectangles and matted it on black cardstock.

Next, I die-cut several of the shapes from the new Halloween 2021 Vault Series die set.

• 2 of the fence out of silver sparkle cardstock.
• one of the ghosts out of pixie dust sparkle cardstock
• 3 bats out of black cardstock
• the moon out of yellow cardstock then inked the edges with a little Black Soot Distress Ink

Then I die-cut 4 of the row of trick or treaters out of black cardstock and glued/stacked them together.

I adhered all of the images to create the scene, then stamped the sentiment, which is a mix from Monster Reunion and Scared Silly.

Lastly, along the bottom of the trick or treaters, I spread some Distress Collage Medium, and then sprinkled some of the new black glitter, while the glue was wet.
