Snowflake Season, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Hello! I am sharing with you today a card I created with the Simon Says Stamp’s January Card Kit! This kit is filled with fabulous snowflakes in the stamp set, the papers, the embossing folder, and even the die!! This kit is overflowing with product! It will be perfect to create with after the holidays, to create maybe some thank yous, or even some friendship cards! ⁠

Snowflake Season, Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

This card kit comes with some exclusive patterned papers from Whimsy Stamps, and it is what inspired my whole card! I created the flurry of snowflakes background using the new 6″x8″ Snowflake Season stamp set included in the kit.

Above you can see the paper that inspired my card. I started by stamping the snowflakes and embossing them with white powder. This took a few repetitive times, to fill in all the spaces with snowflakes. I even trimmed a few of the dots off the main image, to be able to use those to fill in space as well.

Once the panel was filled with snowflakes I used some blender brushes and ink blended Distress Ink. Since the snowflakes are embossed they resist the ink and stay white. I used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire. I then cut the background out using Lawn Fawn Outside In Stiched Rectangle Stackables.

I then diecut the snowflake exclusive to the kit, multiple times. I did several cuts with Lawn Fawn Blue Jay cardstock, and one cut with Lawn Fawn Holographic Cardstock. The kit includes Holographic Envelopes and that is what inspired this.

I stacked them together using wet glue, included in the kit, and adhered it to the card. On another piece of cardstock, I stamped the “hello friend” circle sentiment included in the stamp set, for this I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide. Because Oxide inks have a pigment property to them, they stamp solid images so nicely. I used scissors to cut out the circle and popped that up off the card.

I mounted this whole panel onto some Holographic Cardstock, the same I used to diecut the snowflake.

As you can see, a perfect kit to make some winter greetings. I am addicted to snowflakes so I was wicked excited to see all the supplies available in the Simon Says Stamp January card kit.
