Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Color Inspiration

Hey everyone! Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Clean and Simple Christmas challenge last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is Color Inspiration. I created the inspiration board that will hopefully get those creative juices flowing! Remember you can enter up to 5 times! 🙂

I decided to play with my copic markers this week and colored out a swatch to match the colors above. I didn’t end up using the purple copic, I have such a hard time blending purples. Instead I brought the purple in the with background  and inking the card with the new Wilted Violet Distress Ink.

Whenever we feature Stampendous, I have to pick a cute little House Mouse stamp! They were some of the first wood mounted stamps I purchased over 15 years ago when I started stamping. I love their little personalities and they are fun to color! It looks like the particular one I used is out of stock right now in the Simon Says Stamp Store, but there a loads of wicked cute ones to choose from!

I colored in the mice with copics and then I inked the background with an ink blending tool in Wilted Violet and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. I used a paper edger as well to rough up the edges of the cardstock.

For the background of the card I used Hero Arts, Basic Grey Carbonated Background. I inked it up in Wilted Violet, stamped it and then went over the little circles with Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

I was having so much fun with the Wink of Stella I went over the pumpkin and candy corn with it as well. Once the card was assembled I added some glossy accents on top of the pumpkin and candy corn for dimension.
