Hey Everyone! I am here today to share with you TWO cards I created with some of Simon Says Stamps New Release, Create Joy!
I posted this on facebook the other day along with a sneak peek of these cards:
“Hello my name is jenn and
- I am addicted to glitter and sparkle
- I love teal, and using non-traditional colors for holiday cards
- And I forgot just how much I adore glossy accents!”
This couldn’t be more true and these cards definitely prove it!
For the first card, I used the new Soft Snowfall Wafer Die. This die makes it SO easy to create a quick, but elegant card! You can change up the colors to be more traditional too, if that is your thing 🙂
I also used SSS Big Scripty Greetings as well as Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Hillside Borders. I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to stamp “peace” and did a light water wash over it. I then used a quickie glue pen and ultra fine glitter all over to add sparkle!
For my second card, I was so excited to create this one! I LOVE typography and fonts, and well watercolor… so this one came together so easily!
I used the new SSS Big Joy Clear Stamp set. I embossed it in white on Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I then watercolored over the embossed letters with Distress Inks and a Wink of Stella glitter pen (instead of water). I used Picked Raspberry, Mowed Lawn and Broken China Distress Ink. After I was done watercoloring I heavily filled the letters in with glossy accents. I tried my best to capture the sparkle and dimension, hopefully you can see it. The pattern paper peeking out is from Doodle Bugs Sugarplums 6×6 Paper Pad.
There you have it, 2 fairly simple holiday cards that you could replicate and create multiples to get started with your card list!
