Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Release: Holiday Sparkle

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing with you a fun, interactive card! I made it with some of the new exclusive products from the Simon Says Stamps Holiday Sparkle Release!

Magic of Christmas, Simon Says Stamp

For this card, I used the new Magical Christmas stamp set and Sparkling Snowflake Frame, and Trio dies. I started by stamping out one of the fairies and coloring her with Copic markers. I share the specific colors I used below, and they are linked in the supply list. I then added some sparkle to her wings, scarf, and jacket with a quickie glue pen and prisma glitter. I cut her out, and set her aside.

I then inkblended two panels of Distress White Heavystock with some Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Surf and Ocean. I ink blended another two panels with Carnation. I diecut these with the new Sparkling Snowflake Frame, and Trio dies. With the loose pink snowflakes, I ink blended the centers with Peony Pawsitively Saturated Ink

I then took a cardbase and inkblended the front and inside with Surf and Ocean Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

Whenever I ink blend I use the Ink Stands, and the Rectangle Ink Stands that I carry in my online shop are perfect for SSS Pawsitively Saturated inks. They hold the ink pad in place, and also help you so you don’t get inky fingers.

I also love Simon Says Stamps Blender Brushes. I have used some other brands, and I find that these are softer, and I like the large ones are nice and big and cover a good amount of surface at once.

I store them in the Layer Cake Brush Caddie, that I carry here in my {creative chick} studio shop. I put the caddie on a lazy susan, using wall putty to hold it on, this way it is easy to spin to the brush I want, and it doesn’t take up much space on my studio table.

Next, I cut a rectangle out of the front of the card base, leaving a 1/8″ frame. I then used 1/8″ tape and adhered a piece of plastic to the back of the snowflake frame, and to the front of the frame I cut on the front of the card base.

I then sprinkled some sequins and glitter onto one of the plastic pieces and adhered the two together, to seal the sparkles in. I adhered the frame on the back of the card front to give it a finished look.

I also added some of the sparkle stamps and a sentiment on the inside.

Lastly, I added the fairy to the card front with some foam squares. This is such a fun interactive card with all the sparkles!
